RTA Cabinet Construction & Features

Soft-Closing Doors & Drawers

JWQ’s soft-closing mechanisms eliminate noisy slams and unexpected breaks and accidents.

All of our cabinet’s doors and drawers gently close and glide shut, ensuring day-to-day convenience while simultaneously preventing wear and tear to enhance the longevity of your cabinetry.

Matching Finished Sides & Interiors

Unlike other cabinetry wholesalers in the tristate area, JWQ’s cabinets boast both finished sides, interiors, and shelves that seamlessly match the exterior cabinet color (you never have to request or specify which sides of the cabinet should be finished, as both left and right sides are by default).

We strongly believe that your color of choice should not be appreciated solely from the outside in, but instead, be all-encompassing.

The only intended natural finish you will ever see in our cabinetry, is within our drawer boxes, and rollout trays.

Waterborne Paint

In an industry where most cabinetry wholesalers prefer the cost-effective route of implementing oil-based paints, we differentiate ourselves by choosing the sustainable path. JWQ Cabinetry’s painted products are coated with Waterborne Paint, which is not only environmentally friendly and non-toxic for your living space, but also resists yellowing in color over time.

While oil-based paints may be cheaper to produce, they come with a heavy environmental toll, multiple toxic components, and are highly susceptible to changes in color, cracking, and peeling over time.

Note:

Waterborne Paint products include Shaker, Concorde, Athens, and Legend Ivory styles.
Legend Maple and Legend Burgundy styles are stained, with wood grains visible.

Cabinet performance depends on the complete system: door and drawer construction, box, back, shelves, hardware, finish, assembly and installation all matter. Use the published details for the specific JWQ collection rather than assuming every line is identical.

What to review in a cabinet specification

  • Door and drawer fronts: compare the profile, material, joint method and overlay described for the selected line.
  • Cabinet box and back: review panel material, thickness and reinforcement details in the collection table.
  • Shelves: confirm shelf construction and plan the load and span for the intended use.
  • Hinges and drawer glides: verify the hardware described for the collection and allow required operating clearances.
  • Finish: painted Shaker, Concorde, Athens and Legend Ivory styles use the waterborne-paint system described on this page; Legend Maple and Legend Burgundy are stained so the grain remains visible.

Verify the selected line

Pair these general explanations with the key-features table on the chosen collection page and the current catalog. Review a finish sample in the project lighting before an order is approved. Field measurements, appliance openings, utility locations and installation conditions remain project-specific.

Compare all JWQ cabinet collections, coordinate compatible accessories, and use a JWQ dealer or trade contact to confirm current order details.
